        Because Humayun’s Tomb  is, Humayun’s Tomb, is a significant monument for more than one reason. This grand mausoleum is the first tomb of a Mughal emperor to be ever built in India. It is a  fine example of Persian architecture, which created a template for Mughal architecture A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the tomb was built in 1565 A.D,by his senior widow Bega Begam nine years after the death of Humayun.
        The monument has been a favourite amongst not only tourists and locals but also filmmakers over the years. Movies like ‘ Kurbaan’, ‘Jhoom barabar jhoom’, ‘ Aisha’, ‘Veer Zara’ , ‘Fanaa’ etc have also been shot here.
